Collective Impact

Established in 2013, KWOOP (Keeping Women Out of Prison) is an independent, authoritative Coalition comprised of individuals and organisations including service providers, philanthropic and not-for-profit organisations, universities and women with lived experience of the justice system. KWOOP’s vision is for better outcomes for women and children affected by the justice system.

KWOOP established a Sub Fund with the Sydney Community Foundation in order to attract funding to support research, advance advocacy and enable the development of practical interventions for vulnerable and marginalised women.

The KWOOP Coalition believes in breaking cycles of intergenerational disadvantage and incarceration experienced by women in the justice system.
