Human rights champion Dorothy Hoddinott AO started a Sub Fund with Sydney Community Foundation to provide post-secondary education scholarships for refugee youth.
The Dorothy Hoddinott AO Refugee Scholarship Fund gives young refugees access to the same opportunities as their Australian-born peers by providing modest scholarships to ease the financial stress of tertiary education.
Grants distributed via the Fund help refugees buy the essentials – books, computers and other supplies – that may otherwise prove barriers to study.
